The amount of control your can exercise over your motorcycle greatly increases when you stand up and put your weight firmly on the footpegs, effectively lowering the overall center of gravity by a foot or more and giving you increased control and traction compared to sitting on the seat. The importance of a having a good wide, stable and grippy surface to stand on when riding an adventure bike cannot be underestimated.
Measuring 2.25″ wide by 4.75″ long these footpegs are both wide and long and you immediately feel more confidence as soon as you stand on them. They are not just beautiful to look at but with several patents including height, traction and camber adjustability you can adjust these babies to suit your exact needs.
The most unique feature of the Fastway design, both visually and functionally is the patented replaceable traction cleat system. This system lets you create a custom footbed on your pegs by utilizing different size cleats and adjusting them to different levels. The system comes with 2 sets of F3 model threaded cleats, the short versions are 10mm and the tall versions are 12mm. Also offered by Fastway are replacement serrated cleats (F5) and even a set of spiked cleats (F7) for those really extreme conditions. The patented Universal Collar System (UCS) lets you customize the height of the footpegs by simply reversing the collar to go from the stock height to a lowered height. Then the final patent, the Camber System allows you to customize the tilt up or down of your pegs to match angle of your legs. Anyone with bad knees and knee braces like me can appreciate that slight pressure relief from having everything properly lined up. It can make a big difference after a long day in the saddle.
