A Versatile Dry-Bag Duffle On Or Off The Bike
If you are like me when you travel on your Dual Sport or Adventure motorcycle you want to have a secure place for everything and easy access to the items you need most. You also want to have portability, the ability to remove the luggage from the bike and take it with you into the safety of a hotel room or tent at night. The Mosko Moto Scout 60L Duffle gives you all that and much more.
Designed from the ground up with loads of well thought-out features a traveling motorcyclist might need or want the Scout 50L duffle makes the ultimate tailbag and then quickly converts to a backpack with handy straps hidden inside a pocket on the bottom of the bag. This helps the bag double as a very effective travel partner when you aren't on the bike. The backpack straps can easily be left at home if you know you won't be needing them freeing the external pocket on the back for something else. Or if you prefer to carry the Scout as an over the shoulder duffle a separate strap clips on easily and provides you with a second solid carrying option. Finally, there are also two grab handles, one on either side of the bag providing another convenient way to move and carry the bag if needed.
Another one of my favorite features of the Scout bag is the cleverly designed and removable beavertail. This handy little item is designed to help you secure large items to the top of the bag, perfect for stashing that riding jacket you needed in the morning but it is getting way too hot by mid-afternoon or that dirty tarp or footprint from under your tent. The beavertail also features a series of reinforced mesh pockets on the inside and 5 columns of Hypalon MOLLE panels on the outside providing you with a variety of options for mounting almost any kind of MOLLE accessories you need to keep your gear both secure and close at hand.
The overall fit and finish of the Scout bag is outstanding, you can tell a lot of thought went into not only the design but the sourcing and selection of all the materials used. The material used in the main body of the bag is 100% waterproof 800D polyurethane coated (PVC free) Nylon with RF welded seams. This bag simply does not leak. Next all of the hardware on the bag is top quality to make sure the bag doesn't come open until you want it to. The ends and bottom of the bag are reinforced to help those more vulnerable parts of the bag survive the constant pounding inflicted by riding on the back of a dirt bike for mile after mile. Finally, to help keep the bag securely mounted to the bike Mosko recommends using their Backcountry Cinch Straps to help snug it down and prevent side to side slippage over the course of the day. To complete this extra security measure a handy cinch strap pass through is provided on both sides of the bag. Just run the straps through the pass through and secure them to your back rack or even the top of a hard box.
The capacity of the Scout duffle bag is 50 liters and it measures 13.75 inches wide and 20 inches long. When rolled the height is 15 inches and the bag unloaded weighs in at a svelte 4 lbs. This same bag also comes in a 30L version if you like to travel lighter or take shorter trips.
Overall I couldn't be more impressed or pleased with the overall performance of the Mosko Moto Scout 50L Duffle bag and I am sure it will provide me with years of safe and secure travel.
